Council of Tides
Governing Body, Circle of the Moon, Craia
The Council of Tides is the central body that handles matters that affect the Moon tribe as a whole, such as issues along regional boundaries, wildlife protection, trade, etc.
Velatha Qihana, Archdruid of the Moon
Archdruid Qihana’s short term as archdruid has seen the biggest unrest in centuries due to the debate over whether or not to become involved in the Koalitio. Her guidance remains vague in the face of split opinions among the Council, and her unwillingness to take a stance on the issue is contributing to rising tensions.
The Archdruid presides over meetings of the Council of Tides and represents Inmouth and the Circle of the Moon in government matters in Inverleigh. The role of the Archdruid is to mediate between chieftains, ministers, and ambassadors as they debate topics and make decisions that affect the region as a whole. The Archdruid is a non-voting role unless there is a stalemate.
When an heir-apparent inherits the role of Archdruid, a Blessing of the Moon ceremony is conducted to find a new heir-apparent. The new heir-apparent is destined to one day lead the tribe and undergoes special instruction to learn the tribe’s history and traditions, spends time amongst the other tribes to learn their ways, and completes a series of rites and trials to prove that they are a capable leader and can uphold the best interests of the Circle and the people of Inmouth. If the heir apparent is found to be unfit or dies, a new ceremony is conducted.
