Aynnweth
The capital city of the Republic of Inmouth, Aynnweth is a relatively large settlement located on the Awynn River, deep within the Kheela forest. While the significant majority of Inmouth is comprised of nomads, small settlements, and remote druid groves; Aynnweth serves as the permanent home for governing bodies, a goods market, a ceremonial glade, permanent housing for those who need or choose a permanent home, and a tournament ground. The population is almost entirely Circle of Moon Druids and their families, and those who are not are mostly passing through.
Attached images below show Rusco’s family home and the governance complex where the Archdruid oversees Circle matters, the various ministers conduct their business, and so on.
Government
Despite being a largely nomadic people the Circle of the Moon has a governing body in Aynnweth called the Council of Tides who oversee such matters as respectful use of natural resources, trade, liaising with wildlife, oversight of land allocation and stewardship, liaising with other Circles and with the main government in Inverleigh, and so on.
Economy
Given that Moon Druids are mainly nomadic, the economy within Aynnweth is a hearty blend of coin and barter. Given that most individuals here have at least basic druidic magic, most essential resources are in abundance (or even excess), and the ethos of the community is altruistic and mutually supportive. As such, crime is rare and poverty is non-existent within the city.
Culture
As one might expect from a culture of wildshapers, the city is full of animal life - some from the woods surrounding the settlement, and some that are Druids who enjoy moving about their day in animal form. As a society that is largely free from want, most people spend a significant amount of their time in leisure, meditation, or communion with their natural surroundings. This ability to pursue their own interests freely has led to a community that is thriving with artists, musicians, crafters, gardeners, and other passions.
Druidic combat is considered a worthy pastime that honors the tradition of the Circle as fierce protectors of their environments. In addition to those who combat for recreational purposes, there is also a tournament that takes place every year in which the winner earns the title TBD.
Infrastructure
Permanent structures are made of some combination of earthworks, living trees and plants, and other materials that have been respectfully sourced. Plots of land are not owned, but rather borrowed and stewarded. The market includes a free-share area where those who have extra food and supplies can leave them for others who might need them. There is no proper port in Aynnweth, but rather a trade committee that coordinates import and export via a coastal settlement in Awegurebergy, as well as inland along the river. Individuals who do not own their own boats can also freely travel on the trade ships to Awegurebergy, where they may negotiate their own passage on private ships that pass in and out of the port.
