Last session, the party went through their downtime activities. Maeve spread the word about the grand reopening of the Black Lotus Library. She met Grummir Barrelhide, one of the city councilors, and head of the Merchant’s Guild. Oob sold the parties magic items they had leftover, and helped prepare for the reopening. Puck spent the time preparing the library. Milo started to research the origins of Puck’s home, and met a cleric named Brother Ian. Brother Ian claimed that the world orbits the head of a comatose god, and that Puck is from another world that orbits this god. Milo invited Brother Ian to the library for a dinner so he can be introduced to the party. Kara met Errandil Ancano, nephew to the king and seller of the Glamorous Armor. Errandil offered the armor for 6,000 gold, which Kara couldn’t afford, and instead Errandil offered it as payment for a job. Kara would retrieve a package discretely for Errandil, and he would give the armor. Robair spent some time transcribing his scrolls and helped set up the library.
Maeve received a task from the mysterious “L”, to collect the very same package Kara has been asked to deliver to Errandil. Robair, Kara and Oob convinced Errandil to sign a discrete contract offering the armor in exchange for “services rendered”.
Maeve, unable to get in the front door, snuck into the back entrance to Jeremy Snoot’s customs warehouse. Meanwhile, Milo and Puck went to find the party. Meeting up in the warehouse district, the party (sans Maeve), tried to get into the front door of the customs warehouse. Being unsuccessful, they decided to brainstorm a new approach when a group of commoners appeared, demanding to be let into the warehouse to talk to Snoot. A fight broke out, with the party splitting up to take advantage of the situation.
Oob and Robair slipped into the back alley to find the back entrance, with Oob purposefully tripping an alarm bell, while Milo and Kara teleported inside using Milo’s fire spirit, Boo. There they came face to face with Milo’s mother, Philomena Jasmine, and a beaten and blooded Jeremy Snoot, tied to a chair next to her.
And that’s where we are now.
