A cantankerous old soul, Azax came to the Yawning Portal alongside companion Vitch to look into the existence of the Dungeon of the Mad Mage that they had heard stories of. They were quickly joined by Zondas and later Gruz, Nerolia, and Violet Nap. Azax is determined to cause chaos and mischief everywhere he goes and has used his wildshaping abilities to greatly benefit the party as a scout and frontline combatant.

Alongside the mercenary Kraask, he helped create a field of devastation so great that it crippled an army of vampires in seconds.
