A member of the Ilmater Clergy and the controversial cult of the Scarlet Brotherhood, Brother Temperance leads the Waterdeep Chapter of his Order and has taken up residence in the Yawning Portal. From there he has access to the many adventurers that move through the Yawning Portal and the Undermountain below. He offers his Clerical services to any who wish and asks only for donations to the cause and the voluntary suffering of Penance.

He believes that suffering is the closest mortal men can come to godhood.
