Arc 2: Of Guilds and Circles

While in Neverwinter, the group used the opportunity to petition the Guilds Hall to establish a satellite location down in Leilon. After meeting with Malpheo, the two parties formed a partnership that would see the Guilds begin to send some craft folks to Leilon if the following conditions are met:

1. A formal representative from Leilon personally signs the agreement to bridge the two locations
2. Leilon builds a Guild Hall as a show of good faith and a warm welcome for the craft folks
3. The sea passage from the Neverwinter to Leilon is safe and secure

Meeting all of the requirements and successfully inviting crafts folks to Leilon would allow them to gain the following benefits as agreed upon by Valdi:

1. Free port access + waived docking fee for any of their vessels
2. First access to merchandise coming into the town

Finishing up with the Guild Hall, the party headed to the County Jail to convince Captain Baligard to let them copy the teleportation circle located within in cases of emergencies, to which the Captain agreed as long as they understood the requirements and dangers related to that magic. Before leaving, Captain Baligard began to mention something on his mind but caught himself last minute, only to later meet up with the group at the Widow’s Son to explain that he has a bad feeling about the Solar Cathedral, the former sanctuary of Lathandar-turned place of worship to Kelemvor. Baligard describes unusually little activity in and around the area following the departure of the Order of the Chain’s army, the cathedral has closed it’s doors to the public and folks have not heard much from within the walls, spurring the Captain to become intrigued. However, given that no complaints have been brought forth, his hands are tied— but perhaps another group may have the means to “take a peak”.

While at the Widow’s Son, some familiar faces make their way to visit with a few notable occurrences:
• Terry Joole returns with a 25% net profit on Rittle’s 2,000 GP investment, who kept the earnings and opted to reinvest the ROC back to Terry.
• The group updated Renly about Adaliah’s curse being lifted and also what Jiin actually is, the explanation on what a huli jing is remains a mystery however (though Renly has offered to do some more digging)
• Emmie can now cast counterspell once a day
