Economy
Pinho-Matera is a hidden gem of a town, despite the fact that a lot of furniture has been dyed and made using wood and dye from this area. The people here are fine with that, with few shops, and people mostly surviving off of what they can do and make for themselves. Trading is much more appreciated than buying and selling with gold, and bartering is especially frowned upon because it is seen as a disrespect to the worth of the work. It is a sheltered area that doesn’t get many travellers due to the hostility toward outside tradition. Pinho-Matera is one of the few areas that still worships a god, with the main attraction being a large shrine nestled in the manmade grove at the centre of the village.
