The Feywild
An infinite expanse of realm, known mostly by its major capitals for the Tanxue and Gaofeng courts.

Economy
The feywild has very few major economical interactions with the lower realm, seeing as mortal realm imports tend to decay at a faster rate than usual, due to the space’s inherent magical nature. Because of this, most trade happens between close neighborhoods, making different areas in the realm appear almost completely different to another. Man-made products like carts and such are looked down upon, generally, so large shipments across distances are mostly unheard of.

Government
There is no overarching government in the feywild, not because it is a liberal anarchist state, but because it would simply be impossible to govern across the expanse of area people under the ‘feywild’ category span. Instead, leading families tend to be born. These are families that have forcibly or electorally gained power for something special they possess over other residents. These families don’t have it easy, as to stay in power their offspring must also be as, if not more, spectacular than they are. If there is any weakness, the city will devour its ruler and spew a new star out. Things change fast in the feywild, and those destined to stay at the bottom have to change their masks quickly or risk it all and leave.

Foreign relations
The feywild has a general distaste for any outside realms, and will usually stay hidden if at all possible. Being sent to a different realm is a common punishment, with the severity of the wrong correlating to the realm the individual is sent to. Gaofeng aligned citizens tend to have less of a curiosity toward Irregeros and other such countries, while the Tanxue court recognizes their existence due to a past alliance against a third realm that aimed to destroy them long ago.

War
Many years ago, the feywild was under attack by the Arborea realm. The reason for the sudden takeover was unknown, but assumed to be because of a tension between some families. No historians could find out exactly what sparked the fight due to the individualist nature of each city and family. The attacking realm had no qualms squashing every family, and while the Gaofeng court retreated to the skies, the Tanxue asked for help from the mortal realm, tricking the Nui-Lonthan leader into believing that without the feywild, all magic would be gone in the world. Together, both realms held back Arborea.

Education
Schools are few and far between, only accepting feywild inhabitants with a natural skill for magic, and those who are already well-known in society. The majority of Tanxue and Gaofeng children have information passed down from their parents, who teach them their own skills and worldviews. This leads to a populace that tends to be focused on one specific branch of life, rather than having a set balanced education on everything before specializing into a career. Families with the most respect for the mortal realm may teach their children a more rounded curriculum, but pupils will still usually have a much lower base experience than mortal realm kids, and feywild children might not accept them as friends for not being as exceptional in a chosen subject.

History
Tanxue and Gaofeng citizens generally tend to believe in different myths for how the feywild was brought about. Tanxue court proposes that XiaoDiQiu, sage of the physical (and inspiration for Irregeros’ Earth Goddess) once was surprised by his twin, DaTianKong; sage of the immaterial, and his shock was let out in a snort of fire. So goes that the fire hit a large metal ball, which melted into the mortal realm, and the eternal smoke that rises from the plane is the feywild. Gaofeng, instead, believes that DaTianKong helped XiaoDiQiu create the feywild after the younger brother dropped a celestial jug of water on the floor. The evaporated water became the feywild, and the broken pottery shards became the material plane and its continents.
