Having heard that other comrades are on their way, Fenpenny Copperleaf and Vincent head south from Gosterwick to meet them. Just as they reach Conc Rete Hallowseve, Xcision, and Monster Gurl, their reunion is interrupted as members of the TRL appear asking for “voluntary donations”. Shortly thereafter Kobolds ambush both groups. Two members of the TRL are slain, but the members of the 3rd Cohort capture the Kobold sorcerer leading the war party and seize his green dragon arcane focus. The Kobold is taken to Gosterick to face justice at the House of the Thesmothete, and the group visits Astableon of Astableon Scribe and Bookseller and learn a bit more about the green dragon Craastonistorex.

Greetings comrades and friends!
The rumors are true (let us not refer to them as gossip)! Former members of the Third Cohort are gathering here in Gosterwick, and though the emperor’s advisors may have been too shortsighted to see it, we know that together we are nigh unstoppable—so let us seek our fame and fortune together. The Halls promise both (and more) to those with courage and ability, and the Green Lady’s city is the perfect jumping off point! JOIN US! We are taking lodging at the Dancing Horse Inn and Meadery, and one of our number will leave word of our plans each morn ere we head out. I will also arrange for access to a journal containing notes about what we have seen and learned; it will no doubt be invaluable whether you choose to wait for our return or set out after us.
