The Library is a creature/being/god? that lends out books to the people of Faerun. His appearance is a two story tower of books with a spindly man that stands in front of the tower. Any time the Library retrieves a book, it sounds more like he is digging through flesh than a pile of paper.

He uses the secrets, truths, and knowledge he learns during his travels to write new books.

The borrowing terms for the books require a trade of knowledge for knowledge. If someone cannot provide knowledge, they must provide the Library with either a deep truth of humanity that they have learned or a secret that no one else knows but them. These things must all be things that the Library doesn’t yet know. If the book is not returned, or if it goes missing, the Library kills the borrower and uses their skin to bind a new book.
