- Letter to Archdruid Qihana (K. Ship, Bral): 4 Hammer 1491
Archdruid-
I apologize for the shortness in my letter, but I must write quickly.
We have found one of missing delegates from the envoy - Mina Rinn of the Stars Tribe. Her account is that she has no memory of her time with those who took her. Her recollection begins about two weeks ago, when she came to on the corpse of a large animal in wild space. She was rescued by the crew of a ship who brought her to the Rock of Bral. The whereabouts of the rest remain unknown. They were taken by a group known as The Return, and I am told that it is unusual that they leave survivors. Commander Ashine unfortunately also shared that the sources which led us to Mina suggested that “all of the known survivors are on Bral” - meaning that the Koalitio, at this time, does not have any further information that might help us find our other missing people. The Koalitio does remain committed to helping us find them.
The group that Mina was with may offer a path to finding the others, but first we have uncovered a threat on Bral that requires urgent attention - and I regret that it also requires me to ask Commander Ashine to leave Bral immediately for the safety of his crew, and for the safety of the Koalitio and Craia. It is a risk, but I believe that the unique and remarkable range of skills of this group will lead us to successfully quell the threat.
I do not know when I will next be able to provide news. I hope that the prevalence of the Koalitio means that I can find them easily to send word or travel home. My time with them so far has been illuminating. Their influence reaches far, and the work I have seen them doing on some of the member worlds is commendable - disaster relief, negotiating peace among a warring people, and creating a system of schools. Lestat and Ashine have also both shown a commitment to finding our missing people.
With that said, I have also met people outside of the Koalitio who seem skeptical or distrustful of the Koalitio. My path forward separate from them should also be illuminating. At this time, my recommendation is to keep conversations open, but not to make any decisions yet.
I hope to be in contact with you soon.
As the moonlight brightens the forest path at night, may we all find the way forward.
