Deciding to go after the vestiges next, the party then went to Della’s family home, where her mother said the trident and volcano are similar to events from Della’s grandmother’s time as a rift walker. She used a trident of ancient battles to seal a rift but then relinquished it to the volcano of Bwuali; Kord’s seat on the material plane.

Bwuali is a nexus of elemental power and thrums with the discordant and tempestuous nature of Kord. Those deemed unworthy are kept on the island as it’s defenders in service of Kord; they will not hesitate to test your worthiness and you should not be afraid to impress the god no doubt watching. The Volcano is the true nexus of power and most likely the place where Kord’s influence is strongest. The greatest test, perhaps from the god himself, awaits there.
