Zenith - Summer begins on this day at high noon. It is celebrated with games, displays of magic, and black powder fireworks
Three days after leaving Vide Cay, Rumblecusp appears on the horizon, a beautiful island of white sand, clear blue-green water, with purple and blue leafed palm trees sparsely populating the shore before meeting a lush green rainforest that surrounds a single large mountain in the center of the island. There appear to only be two buildings on the island: a large, three story bar with a tiki island theme with a large sign that reads “Rumble Cups” sits on the beach, while a larger, nicer white stone colonial style house, five stories tall straddles the point where the beach meets the jungle beyond with a sign out front, like you’d see announcing a town, which titles the building “The Traveler’s Abode”. Two docks extend into the water, in front of each building. The shorter leads directly to Rumble Cups and has several sail boats tied up there, while the longer sits to the East of the Traveler’s Abode and stretches past the break point to accommodate larger boats, with both those berths currently empty. Several small boats are floating in the bay and near the shore, fishing or lounging as your ship cuts its way toward the dock.
Today is Zenith, with summer beginning at midday today and Rumblecusp looks prepared for to party all summer. Bands play loudly in each floor of Rumble Cups, beach volleyball is set up in the sand, and a Bard DJ is jamming at the resort pool, while others gather for a trek into the jungle to perform the “first harvest.”
After a couple hours of chaos and exploration, the crew is settled, the repairs are scheduled, and the Tide of Ruidus sails around the island to be berthed with the shipwright. You also discover that there will be a Battle of the Bards here next week, as well as learn that the resort has a longship that you can hire to take you to Urukayxl for 200gp round trip, dropped to 150 because of Amira’s reputation known to the longship’s captain. Not bothering with downtime, the Ruidus crew sets off for Urukayxl that afternoon.
