The clone of Halaster

During the exploration of Floor 1 of the Undermountain, the Divine Shanks stumbled across a mysterious portal to a sort of pocket dimension that could be accessed wearing a copper mask of Halaster. Darion entered the portal and met a sort of magic clone of Halaster and could ask him three questions. Two of the answers were true and one was false.

1. Q: Where can i find the rune-stone? A: The rune stone is a lie
2. Q: Where can i find Halaster’s secretary?A: Halaster’s Secretary stops all communication in the undermountain. If you need to make a call, call the secretary.
3. Q: What is Halaster’s ultimate goal? A: Halaster’s goal is to take back what is rightfully his. If he can’t have it, he will see it burned.

Speculation: Question 1 seems to be false. If this “clone” knows what Halaster knows, it would seem weird if he was looking for something that he himself knows is a lie. Unless it is more like a metaphor or something. This would make it more likely that questions 2 and 3 were answered truthfully.
