In the morning they’ll be greeted by Bianca, calling herself Rose, who says she can keep them walking free as long as they do something for her (prove themselves innocent). She is tricked into a magical contract by Amon, where they don’t have to heed her words. She gives them one of Adonis’ scales and a much smaller claw that she supposedly found where the beast was. Because they helped Hue, investigating for ashes or smoke outside will come up with suspiciously nothing, despite last nights fire. Upon investigation they find one set of footsteps leading to a wall. They go to Paolino who says their evidence is flimsy, but the group hands over Rose’s note, and then Paolino tells them to retrieve the person who signed it at once; but Hue at that point brings the entire house into a dream, having found out that Ivo’s book is missing. Adonis runs downstairs to fight Monster Hue, while the group grapple trying to put together two sides of a card that stole Amon’s magic.
Orsin figures some things out then hears bad things happening. The ballroom area downstairs is shrouded in old mist. If they check the book, Ivo has said that magical light or light within the dream will work. The party doesn’t help Adonis who was fighting big Hue/ The Baron. Instead, Jean bashes his head against the wall and wakes up. Six sees a dream of Ivo giving very old Hue the book before waking up, and Amon and Orsin are given some information about how Erban was once a city of monsters, and that the Baron controls dreams. Both go home, and Jean gets sad and drunk, and Orsin tries to put the card back together using an unseen servant, where the magic of the card begins to seep into Amon’s own magic. Basically the card’s antimagic was deteriorating, and Orsin’s magic acted as a pressure on the card and it implodes lol. BUT Amon gets their magic back, and the card is destroyed way beyond repair. The gang goes to sleep.
