Helio, says that he has no idea why this group is being let off, hints that its Hue’s doing and that he doesn’t agree with it but the guards will always value Hue’s opinion first, over his. Helio cements that apparently the group have been saying they’re going to go find Bianca, but he doesn’t trust them and will ascertain their true motivations for escaping the town. He will end up relenting, saying that he personally will allow them to leave so long as they take someone from Erban with them. Six takes Enzo, Amon takes Fortunata and Jean asks for Hue and Helio to join. Hue and Helio argue because they both want to stay with control over Erban, and Six and Jean go to get his studded leather and Hu Cao gives more information on the Zhao takeover. Amon and Jean go pick up Enzo and Fortunata to go to Helio.
Helio does the documents, and pressures the group to make a choice on whether or not Hue goes with them, but Amon isn’t fettered and makes a comment about him not being married yet, and he gets mad because why not. Amon and Jean start arguing about their values, specifically what it means to hold onto and let go of the ones you love, and what it means to be valued in the eyes of the powerful. Amon sleeps in the tavern, and Jean sleeps in the Mancini mansion that night.
