The Burdock Valley is ruled by the Lord Burdock, Iskander Basileon, who lives in Castle Burdock to the west of the Valley’s largest town Newmarket. Lord Burdock’s half sister, the Lady Alexia Basileon, in what some believe is an overt challenge to his rule, has transformed a ruined keep at the north end of Burdock’s Valley into the growing town of Gosterwick. In twenty short years, she has overseen Gosterwick’s growing popularity with adventurers seeking their fortune in the ruined city of Arden Vul, and all the treasure and mystery beneath it in the Halls of Arden Vul.
