The temple lies at the rear of the Hill of the Gods to the north by northwest of Gosterwick. The main cult statue shows Heschius Ban in the armor of an Archontean legionary, standing with one foot on a trampled enemy and holding a whip and a set of shackles in his hands. Celebrants encourage congregants to offer gifts of wealth into the open mouth of the defeated enemy and also to shed a bit of their own blood on top of the trampled enemy’s head.
