Findel (he/they)
Findel ‘Fin’ Liadon (Silverfrond) is a 200 year old wood elf of the Circle of the Shepherd’s Marda settlement deep in the heart of Alessia. Their affection for and sense of duty towards the smallest creatures of the forest, especially frogs, motivates Fin to study hard and train under his mentor, Caelynn Amakiir, a 500 year old wood elf druid who saw Fin’s potential and has supported their training ever since.
Fin’s parents, Paelias and Sariel Liadon, brought them to Marda when he was 50 years old, right before he declared his adulthood, to train with the Circle of the Shepherd before they returned to Syngorn. After 20 years training with Caelynn and the others, Fin felt an itch to travel and a sense of duty to do more to protect Alessia than the basic training and routine existence he’d experienced so far. Fin declared his adulthood and intention to join the Verdant Guard.
After serving with the Verdant Guard and traveling across Tal’Dorei for the next 80 years, Fin returned to Alessia to fulfill his intention of protecting the land he calls home. Upon his return, Fin is appalled to see how much of the forest and its creatures have been killed, maimed, and completely erased by the town of Farrinel which was just a small outpost when he left. Despite his reluctance to do anything with humans, let alone the who knows who else living in the city, Fin is determined to do what he must to protect Alessia.
To those in Farinell, Fin is just one of the wood elf druids. The elves don’t come to town enough to be worth learning more about. Many in town believe that the dozens of men, women, and even children going missing over the last several years were murdered by the elves for going into the forest. Though last year, a couple of hunters turned up at Sundown Respite in a panic swearing up and down that they saw a tree eat their fellow hunter. Most have chalked this up to exaggeration but still…there have been a lot of people going missing lately. Others see the elves, and by extension, Fin as a harmless creature of the forest, no more dangerous (or interesting) than a mushroom, a pinecone, or a deer.
