H’arald Fornax, Bear Moonmusk and Gaige… Bear still moping over his lost armwrestling matches with H’arald Fornax and the almost 60 year old Peter Zonnestraal while Gaige is making up excuses for him…as is Bear is vulnerable to a common cold. Anyhow, H’arald Fornax, the almost nearly drunk fire genasi is having a great time because his party is almost happening…but instead of fast-fowarding, which is dull, Gaige presents a little quest she and Bear are on and having trouble with. It appears the halfling which she is looking for, Grunswick Sr, is in Waterdeep and has had contact with the Dusk League. H’arald Fornax brings in help from Peter Zonnestraal and Saga Amberfall to uncover more about the guilds. Peter knows about the 3 major guilds in the city: the Dusk League, Xanathar’s guild, Shadow Thieves. The Zhentarim have probably no influence in Waterdeep that is known of.
Grunswick Sr stole 5k of gold from the city of Baldur’s Gate and Gaige is on a mission to return it. She therefore made contact with Borowitz, a contact of hers and she did a stake-out with Bear (yes really…) at Huulfor Wares a safehouse of the Dusk League in the Dock Ward of Waterdeep.
With the help of a city guard contact and friend of Peters, James, the party get to speak to a member of the Dusk League who is imprisoned. H’arald Fornax jinxes the vagabond and Piter. He is promised a nut-cake and ‘volunteers’ all he knows about Grunswick Sr and Huulfor Wares and the Dusk League. The party learns that the Dust League is a group of murdering, human-trafficking extortionists.
Gaige and H’arald then enter Huulfor Wares under the ruse of being slave traders themselves and speak with the ‘dealer’. They sublimely manage to convince him that they too have grievances with Grunswick Sr and they learn that he is last seen in Skullport. But that he also gets his ‘wares’ from a town nearby called Nashkel.
