Aaron Echadan
Sorcerous Knight of Team Gambit
Theme: Fire
Aaron is a former Knight of Chaldera, having born the banner of House Echadan. For reasons unknown to most of the party, except by Brelith, Aaron fled the country before he arrived in Eritire and joined the Morrorend Guild. Eventually, he re-acquainted himself with Lamsin, whom he had known, if briefly, from a wedding in the Duke of Tara’s household. With some prodding, Aaron convinced Lamsin to help him to master the little spark of magic he could muster. From there, they’ve built an awkward but somewhat endearing relationship, culminating in Lamsin leaving the city while Aaron remained with the newly forged Team Gambit.
In the time before and since, Aaron has accrued a number of feats of both strength, endurance, and things that one could pity. The loss of his eyebrows, on several independent occasions, has led Tali to the creation of a hair-growth lotion so as to allow a quicker recovery. Additionally, his sense of smell has likely been permanently hampered by charging headlong through three, although the number grows in the telling, dragon breath attacks. A dragon that was nearly killed by the bloodthirsty lunacy of Aaron and Imdran, except for the dragon’s ability to cast illusory spells to disrupt the party. In another instance, he took an improvised catapult to the chest during a duel, a long story, without flinching. Although, pitifully, his number of great successes are often outweighed by his brash decision making and bad luck leading to him either being beaten fiercely or hanging on to life by the slightest of threads. In spite of the punishment he takes on an almost regular basis, Aaron is failful to his party, whom he now considers, if ragtag, a good group of friends.
After returning from the Village of Oletri, Serenity in tow, Aaron was re-acquainted with Lamsin who had travelled far south, participating in an expedition around the Dry Sea into a temple similar to the Faceless temple they had already experienced. When Lamsin expressed her desire to seek out and destroy these Temples, Aaron promised her that he would go with her if he must. However, he later voiced his concerns to Brelith that he may have to leave the party in order to go with Lamsin. The two would meet a handful more times before Aaron would have to leave the city again. On one occasion, Lamsin would give Aaron three slips of paper enchanted with the Sending spell, impressing upon him that they were for emergencies. On their last meeting, Aaron forwent his regularly worn suit of armour, doffing it in exchange for his fine Chalderan garb. Something which both caught Lamsin off guard and pleased her. Aaron commenting that he would make it a more regular practice. During this same time, Aaron would meet Jerome Fiannan, a fellow Chalderan who had been in the same expedition with Lamsin.
During their time travelling, they would meet a man named Keragin Achers whom would recognize Aaron, giving a brief glimpse into his past. Announcing, “A man as famed as you for debauchery is abstaining from drink, come now!” Keragin, Brelith, and Aaron would spend time talking about their home country, with Keragin even being persuaded to return with news of the war with Revedire. Upon arriving in the City of Change, the three would go carousing with Brelith acting as effective chaperone for the older men. There, they would meet Ronith Tara, who, assuming the three were questing knights, implored his countrymen to seek out and destroy a demonic plot within the city. Aaron, not having much in the way of formality, explained that he would need to speak with his band’s leader, a small tiefling girl named Tali. Something which, it seems, broke Ronith’s mind. Eventually, they would make their way outside the city to handle this so-called-cult.
