Nasaad
Nasaad is one of the most culturally unique nations in Edar. All facets of life in Nasaad revolve around the military, from their primary economic drivers to their governmental structure. The government of Nasaad is composed of military officers, all of whom must win their promotions within the military via personal combat with their superiors. In this way, the poorest soldier in the military could, someday, rise to be the Grand General of all Nasaad. Nasaad is attacked by creatures of the Scoutsbane Wastes far more than any of its neighbors, as almost its entire southern border is open to the Wastes. Because of this, the entire society of Nasaad revolves around defending its southern border from invasion. Like Amadicia, Nasaad has not been attacked in thousands of years due to the immense burden on it bears for the people of Edar. If Nasaad were to fall, the monsters of the Wastes would pour into Edar and kill hundreds of thousands of people.
