We make it out of the boiling blood and sex orc room and take a short rest before continuing on.
Eveneem sees a vision of Perigee at the end of the long dark hallway - no one else sees her when Eveneem points it out.
We go down the hallway and before long it splits into a three-way fork - one path with an orange torch, one path with a purple torch, and one path with a torch that has long since gone out. With a game of boulders parchment shears, Wonders wins the right to choose which path to go down and chooses the black path with no torch. After a few rounds of three-way forks, in which we chose the black torch each time, we arrive at a room with the statue we were looking for.
The room has a giant statue of a man held down by chains, with a double set of iron doors set in his chest, 10 feet off the ground. Surrounding him is a triangle with torches at each corner, unlit. Three giant 70-foot statue arms surround the chained man as well, with purple gems set into the back of each hand.
Wonders and Eveneem go into the room, and Wonders falls a charisma saving throw, which casts him into a curse. He attacked Eveneem, and it takes the whole team to break him out of the curse. Once the curse is broken, Wonders is free and unable to hear the horrific wailing anymore. He is now immune to the curse, and the team starts to slowly curse and then break each member out of it.
We manage to figure out the puzzle to open the double doors inside the chest of the statue, and all of us climb up into the statue’s chest, where a set of spiral stairs leads down. Despite the entire team being hurting a little bit and needing desperately to rest, they bravely(stupidly) continue onward, down into certain doom.
Entering into a large room, the team finds a visage of Perigee waiting for them. She beckons them in, but Wonders notices that she has no wings…which sets him on edge. Quickly it becomes apparent that the room is not a temple room filled with wonderful treasure, but the lair of a (vision-wielding hungry creature). We fight it and win, just barely avoiding being eaten by the fiend.
Afterward, we found our way into a crystal cavern, with a tomb in the center.
We wind up seeing another vision of Elyxion, the warrior, who is actually a champion of three different gods - Avandra the change bringer, the dream weaver,
We found one of three prayer sites that Elyxion prayed at in the Betrayer’s Rise. We have to pray at the other two sites in order to free him.
The other team shows up and tries to take the necklace from us - we fight them and win. After we leave we teleport to Bazzoxan.
