Barrens was always known for it’s Grand desert, which split the nation in the middle even before the great calamity. Thankfully to the goddesess, by their miracle, a giant oasis grew in the middle of the desert. Huge mountain mesas collected high amount of rain water and moisture into top of the mountains, becoming akin to gigantic water basins, providing safe haven to all who travel across the dunes. Thanks to it’s plentiful water source and resources, Gerudo and others build a giant city in the Oasis, and moved their capital to there. From here, it became much easier to comb the desert and send rescue parties to the lost travelers, as well as being important midpoint of both trade and supply transfer.

Thanks to it’s clear waters and quality minerals, Oasis is also well known for it’s rich culture and artisans, in jewerlry, sculpting, ceramics and many more.
