The second day in Trostenwald, you went to explore the Wildewind’s dig site to see what the substance they were mining was. The site was under guard and survellience, but was shut down for the day. Sneaking past the guards, you grabbed a handful of dirt and the glittering red and white dust that runs in vanes through the digsite.
Curious about what Benedict was doing with the dig site, Della and Stone attempted to talk to the foreman of the site and manager of the Dancing Nymph brewery, Dreanna, to see how he was involved. However, after asking about Benedict and mentioning the letter that they brought from the Mirkwood Academy, Dreanna became rude and closed off, telling them that Benedict would return the next day.
Returning to the Rusty Tankard, Scrum cast detect magic on the dust, revealing that it has elements of every type of magic, brimming under the surface. This is common in magical components that need to be focused or distilled through magical power. Also, detecting magic on the letter, Dreanna’s suggestion, revealed that it is likely enchanted to track whoever opens the letter.
Next, you went to The Arcane Trinket Boutique and paid for uses of identify to check out the Amulet, revealed to be the Jewel of the Three Prayers. You also identified the weird black goo Amira found, recognizing it as Coactive Combatant.
That night, you all shared a concerning dream before awaking to a A Field on Fire.

Go to the dig site. Four mercenaries in front saying no one is working today. Say to go find foreman Drina at the Dancing Nymph Tavern. Grab a vial of the dust at the site. Go visit Drina.
