Gladriel-Sol’s origins are shrouded in myth and legend. It is said that eons ago, a powerful archfey named Gladriel arrived in the heart of rainforest drawn by the region’s unparalleled natural beauty and magical energy, Gladriel established a sacred grove, which eventually evolved into the city we know today.
As time passed, other fey creatures and magical beings from across the Feywild were drawn to Gladriel’s grove, seeking refuge and harmony in its enchanted embrace. The city gradually expanded, with its residents living in harmony with the rainforest, forming a unique bond with the land.
The Spellplague had a significant impact on Gladriel-Sol’s once vibrant and interconnected society. As the Spellplague ravaged the realms, the city’s magical ties to the Feywild were disrupted. This rupture in the Feywild’s connection caused several consequences.
Gladriel-Sol became more secluded as the Feywild’s influence waned, cutting off many of the city’s traditional portals and pathways to other planes. The fey inhabitants found themselves increasingly isolated from the outside world.
