Kragmaw
Deep within the murky [[swamps of Il-zur]] in a negelected region of [[Aurelia]] lies Kragmaw, a tribal village inhabited by a motley assortment of bullywogs and goblins. Kragmaw is a place shrouded in mystery and darkness, where unfriendliness prevails and the very air seems thick with intrigue. The village’s history, government, society, commerce, and organizations reflect its turbulent past and uneasy coexistence with the outside world.
History
Kragmaw’s history is a tale of aggression and transformation. In the past, the village was notorious for sending out raiding parties to harass and loot travelers passing through the swamps. However, with the rise of international heroes and the establishment of peacekeeping efforts, Kragmaw found itself under increasing pressure to cease its hostile activities. Reluctantly, the village was forced to seek more legitimate means of obtaining goods and resources.
The society within Kragmaw is characterized by a lack of trust and inherent suspicion. Bullywogs and goblins coexist, but they do so begrudgingly. Tensions often simmer beneath the surface, and conflicts can erupt at any moment. Hospitality is scarce, and the residents of Kragmaw are generally unfriendly to outsiders.
Since the village was forced to abandon its raiding ways, Kragmaw has reluctantly embraced more legitimate forms of commerce. They allow occasional merchants to pass through their village, setting up shops and inns to cater to travelers’ needs. However, the condition of these establishments is questionable, and the hospitality is often lacking. Visitors must tread carefully and be prepared for a less-than-welcoming experience.
