Gosterwick Gazette #22: 1 Eleasis 2993
- Publication: 1 Eleasis 2993
When you ask Heliagabulus of Dalton’s Darlings the best way into the Halls of Arden Vul, he may look at you askance and tell you that he is not giving up trade secrets, but after he has had a few ales at the Dancing Horse Inn and Meadery, he changes his tune! “The old Pyramid of Thoth is the most accessible - and safest - means of entering the Halls of Arden Vul,” he says, adding with a wry chuckle, “safest don’t mean much up on the plateau, ya know?” He was quickly cut off by Dalton himself, returning to the table from the outhouse so it must be true! The long staircase through the pyramid that leads to the Halls is worn with age and covered with layers of graffiti; some of that graffiti is really useful! At least that is the story told around town!
Look who is celebrating their third year in operation! That is right, Kronos Kettle-Belly and Estelle, the fine owners of the Sign of the Broken Head, located on the far side of the ruined city of Arden Vul are celebrating their third anniversary in business with a party that is set to take place on the 7th of Highsun.
They report to the Gazette that they are unlikely to be able to offer any discounts for their services on the date of the anniversary due to the high costs of getting victuals, libation, and the finest sheets that side of Arden Vul up the cliff and through the ruins, but they will welcome all who come to visit nonetheless!A reminder from the Green Lady herself, Lady Alexia Basileon, that any suspicious cult activity might be the Cult of Set at work in the town and in the Halls. Although an important temple during the glory days of the old Archontean Empire, the worship of Set was proscribed by imperial decree in 1839 AEP That is more than a thousand years ago! Some say the Drome has successfully extirpated the cult, but others say they have seen cultists within the Halls with their own eyes.
Report suspicious activity!
