The Den
Seedy Budget Inn
On the outskirts of the settlement sits a small and rundown inn where acrid smoke billows out of the chimney at a constant pace. The smoke has stained the two story building for many years, making it appear as though it’s been half burned down and retained it’s structure. The location and appearance of The Den make it unappealing to all but the most desperate of traveler’s. A stinking and drafty common room turn even more away, but those who commit to lodging here are gifts a small, cheap room, and no questions asked.
The Innkeeper gives a different name to all that stay here, and is rarely seen in the streets of the settlement, and their off putting demeanor and gruff personality don’t make that a heartache for anyone. Instead they remain in the Den’s draft common room, appointed with rickety chairs, worn fur rugs, and faded paintings, appearing out of the stinking basement on the rare occasion that a visitor enters when they’re not behind the desk.
