Session 10
As the party began travelling up north back to Caer Callidyrr, the group alternated between spending some time doing their own things, driving the cart, and studying with Tayln and learning Deep Speech. On their way as the days went, they came across a strange sight: a half-elven woman running and screaming as she is being chased by a large brown bear! The party helped the half-elf onto the cart and drove away while the bear chased, only for the bear to transform back into his regular half-elven form as well and approach the cart in this form, calling out words like “thief!” and “give me back my honey!”.
After a discussion, the party realised this druid called Winnie von Pooh was sleeping and this bard Krelior stumbled on him and, apparently, smells of honey. Winnie insisted on joining the group so he could keep an eye on Krelior, and Krelior was heading back to the capital herself, therefore they caught a ride.
On the way up, they passed through into the Dernall Forest, and not too much later that day, they saw Horsa in the distance…yet the village was engulfed in flames and was being raided by Gnolls. The group noticed three larger Gnolls in the rear of the assault, apparently barking orders and, even from this distance, noticed a now familiar trident-like symbol glowing in their foreheads. After a quick discussion, the party decided that instead of sneaking around, they would fight these beasts and stop the assault, hopefully helping their reputation and getting some reward, and possible answers out of the Gnolls.
Session 11 (LEVELED UP TO 4)
The party snuck up on the Gnolls and, although it was close at times, managed to defeat these leaders and end the assault on Horsa. They spoke to the captain of the militia here in Horsa, and also checked in with the Dragonborn who ran the magic item shop. He appeared to have lost a hand in the fight, but otherwise was healthy. The militia captain gave the group a letter which reported they did indeed aid the village and that they should be rewarded back at the capital. From here, the party licked their wounds and continued north to the capital, Caer Callidyrr.
