Mingo’s Shady

Sunday

Barr goes down to check on Silas as he finishes up his weapon. Silas is still looking down and stands over Barrs weapon just polishing it with no emotion. Barr asks him how he’s doing and if the weapon is ready yet. He says not yet but should be ready today in a low monotone voice. Barr checks him out further and he seems pale and dejected, but so signs of an illness of anykind. His srroundings look relatively untouched, he can tell something is going on, but cant tell what. Barr goes to tries to gather the rest of the people suspecting there could be something spreading effecting all the people of the keep. Barr goes to check on Delimira and she seems to be acting quite chipper working at her forge. Tossy asks if shes seen Silas lately. Shes says hes been a bit of a buzzkill lately. He’s changed since they first started working together at first he was energetic and now he ahs been much less mindful not very demure.

The group goes over to the Owlie and turn over a sword of paruns for him to look after. Barr asks him to look over the book of V to see if he can decipher anything of it. He reveals that sometimes enchanted items are activated by being in specific locations or certain activities. He recommends going to places that the enchanter may have been associated with.

Poosha and Pulla come back after hunting and they all seem fine as well. The group gathers that it only seems to be Silas that is illish. Tossy and stick it up his bum.

Rethal

The group teleports back to rethal and heres a weird noise as they enter the room like a shuffling of papers like someone looking through their desk. Barr and Tossy come barreling out of the closet together. They see a cloaked figure and he turns his head while upon noticing the group he turns invisible, but Barr can still see him due to his invisibility ring. Barr runs up to him and attempts to throw blood on him. The cloaked figure dodges the blood. Violi and Tossy casts spells to teleport to the dooe in an attempt to block him. Barr sees him get something from his sleeve and throws some disorienting dust at Tossy and Violi. Barr continues to run at the invisible figure. Zieg readies his paralyzing staff. Zieg feels a rush of air under his arm. Mingo hasn’t left the teleporter room and sees the teleporter light up. Zieg fires blind toward the teleporter and hits the cloaked figure. The invisibilty disipates and the claoked figure falls onto the teleport and Mingo jumps on at the same time as they both disappear in a blink.

We alert the guards and tell them what happened, Freya is upset after searching through the papers and says the manifest is missing and storms off upset. The guards move to surround the teleportation circle. A few minutes later Mingo poofs back in the room. The guards are all up in his grill and we tell them hes with us. Barr says we should go get a drink and end up aat the sauce bucket. Mingo says he ended up and the dunfrees and found a book about all the back dealings going on within the city. Specifically the backealings of Freya Ilman since taking over the mayoral estate, some possible misappropriations of funds to personal use. There are a lot of referencences to dealings with Marcella dunthinre, references to Blue in Niteforte, references to Delimira, and Zoya everclear one of the professors at the university. There is a weird cryptic name that keeps coming up reffered to as “The Lady”. Marcella instated to the cabinet of Rethal verify with the lady.

The group continues to ask questions about the masked figure. Barr gains that Mingo is not being entirely truthful. Mingo reveals that the masked figure was a female(8/10). Mingo reveals that he ripped out some pages that denoted the person’s name was Alisa that she was hired by the bookeeper to perform assassinations and sell sword style duties. She said that she was against this new regime and didn’t trust them. Mingo says he isnt withholding any other inforamation…. Allegedly.

Leave Rethal out the western gate and catch up wit hDick and Harry and ask about there yearly celebration. They say they always get picked to have tomoatoes thrown at them and we commit to talking tot Heath so that doesn’t happen next year

Path to Olta

We take the road to Olta. The group heads south and they see a hill with a barn on it with people churning butter outside. The group approaches. Uncle Tom asks if wed like any of his cider. He says its crafted from a special apple raised in the region to east a few hundred years ago called an Opal. He gives the group s taste of the cider and it tastes like 7/10. The group convinces Tom and Tomina to move their operations to Demeth to take advantageof the potential future tourism and to watch out for the veggie tales.

The group makes it to a fork in the road and see running in the other dirrection a man with a limp. The group if keeping pace can avoid him or wait to speak to him. Tossy walks up to him and asks him for a gold. He says he lost everything they had after being attacked by a group of people he calls bandits. He says he was kicked in the shin really hard. He says it is going to be difficuly going on without his friend the donkey. Violi tells him that it would indeed probably be easier to just end it all now. He goes to stab himself with a dagger and Zieg stops him. Violi says he was just joking. Tossy said if he chooses to end it he could be a sign to avoid the path with the bandits on it. Violi says actuall you could do it for the greater of the people. Barr tells his whatever he choose make sure he does it for himself and the group walks away. As they leave Violi yells back its for the greater good. And Kelly stabs himself in the chest with a dagger.

The group apporaches an opening where they can rest. They go to sleep and wake up feeling like shit and vomiting. They conclude this was due to the Opal apple cider. Tossy makes arrangements to send a letter to Demeth to tell them to not drink the cider as it is poisoned from the horid apples that are the source. They see Olta in the distance and prepare to approach.
