Giant Lessons

Archgrove

Zieg bangs his wife again before breakfast to work up an appetite. The groups goes down for breakfast, Barr sleeps in and misses it(the most important meal of the day) The group leaves heading south with the intent to head to Asmodeus.

Path to Asmodeus

The day is beautiful and the sun is shining. As they head south the road begins to deteriorate into nothing and the Thunder Peaks come into view. The group approaches the river. Zieg casts walk on water on everybody. Barr leads the group across and nothing goes wrong. Everybody joins with no issues cuz it;s not that big of a deal. They approach the mountain range and hear a clanging of sorts coming from within the mountain. As everyone looks to the direction of the clanging it stops. The group starts walking backwards towards the clanging and after some time starts again. The group turns around and it once again stops. The group continues not hearing the clanging again. The group approaches the base of the mountain. The group begins walking down the path with signs in front of it that say danger. A rock comes crashing down hitting nobody and another crashes down and hits Barr for 15 damage. Two giants blending in with the stone mountain behind them appear partially behind the cover of the mountains in front of them. The something in there booga booga language to which nobody understands, but do not appear to be ready for a fight and not backing down.

Turn 1

Home boy with the Club (B)
He is going to throw another rock at Tossy and Violi. Hitting both dealing 19 damage and knocking them prone. He then hides behind the mountain.

Tossy
Casts some meteors, stands up. Throws 2 meteors at clubby and deals 3 damage.

Barr
Shoots his pistol 3 times and misses 3 times. Action surges and tries it again misses the first shot and hits his next 2. He deals 11 damage and 8 damage to B guy.

Mingo
Moves closer to B.

Zieg
Casts ice storm on Giant A dealing 8 bludgeoning and some frost damage

Home boy A
Throws a rock at Violi and Barr. Hitting Barr for 18 damage and Violi for 24 damage.

Violi.
Casts hex on B as well as eldritch blast dealing a total of 31 damage. He turns to Barr and says “toss me”

Turn 2

Giant B
Attempts to throw a rock at Barr and takes some of his cover down, but misses

Tossy
Casts a thunderous fireball spell at JosB dealing 33 damage to him and the mountain taking his cover away. Then tosses 2 more meteors for 11 damage. Then moves up against the wall

Barr
Picks up Violi runs up to B and tosses Violi 15 feet straight up falling directly in front of him as it was not nearly enough to get over the cover of the mountain. Barr then throws his trident. The Giant catches it and throws it back at Barr. The Giants speak some words that nobody understands.

Mingo
Deals 7 damage to B

Zieg
Deals 2 fire damage to B and 6 fire damage to A

JosA
Throws a rock at Violi and Barr again hitting them both. He then speaks in his ooga booga language.

Violi
Casts tongues on himself. He converses with the giant after it tells them to back off and not harm his people. Violi conveys this message to the others in his group to stand down.

Turn 3

JosB
Holds his action

Tossy
Lowers his meteors

Barr
Is going to be a total pussy and drops his weapons and doesn’t say anything because he’s not intelligent enough to form a thought

Mingo
Lowers his weapons and heals Violi a bit

Zieg
Lowers his staff and makes his way towards

JosA
Doing a ritual

Violi continues to be the only person who can communicate with the Giants for 1 hour and asks how they can get passage without running into more giants and doing them harm. JosA and JosB lead the group to their tribe qho are completing a ritual to celebrate their new chieftain.

Giant’s Camp

The group approaches an area where there are lots of giants and Barr feels small in comparison to these large creatures showing his insecurities. Violi pats him on the back and tells him everything will be alright little guy. Takes us over to a rocky grotto with 30 other giants. They explain that the group will need to be judged by a council to gain safe passage. They seem to be carving some stone tablet in celebration of the new chieftain. People question us being here clearly showing that non-giants are not normally welcomed here. The JosA and JosB vouch for us explaining they could have continued to attack our people, but chose to communicate and realize a misunderstanding. The chieftain is happy about this. Chieftain is taller than the other asks what we have to offer. Barr holds up a hammer that thinks it may be related to his people. Chieftain places a hand on Barr and says you understand a true gift given can receive nothing in return. The chieftain gets out a belt and points at Tossy. Scrawny man take this belt handing him a Belt of Stone Giant Strength. The Furry and Fiends have created a lasting pact with the stone giants lead by Stony in the Thunder peaks.

The pokemon narrator comes on and says The friends learned a bunch of valuable lessons in the thunder peaks, like maybe don’t kill everything…. The camera pans over to Barr crying in the corner and the narration says Barr also learned a valuable lesson to not miss a session again with zero notice.

The group ends up on the U end of the Thunder Beacons
