Bridge Fight

The group takes a long rest and wakes up in the morning at 6am. The group decides to leave east through the forest. The group makes their way to a flowing river with no concerns. Zieg notices a bridge directly in front of us. Tossy starts walking across the bridge and when he gets halfway across Barr and Violi begin to shake the bridge. Tossy walks a little bit fast and successfully crosses the bridge and sees a glimmer shining in the bushes. Tossy goes closer to the glimmer. A large golems comes out smashes his hands into the bridge and the rest of the group tumbles from the bridge. Barr just lets himself fall while Violi, Zieg and Mingo try to hand onto the bridge. Tossy casts invisibility on himself.

Turn 1

Barr
Walks over to the edge of the water and successfully climbs over the edge of the water. Barr is going to rip a doodad at him and completely misses with his first shot. The second shot hits the spider adding a fire strike but the arrow tinks off and only takes the fire damage. He then misses the metal panther.

Metal Panther
Is going to use his stunning roar on the peoples in the water. Mingo saves while Violi and Zieg are stunned go limp in the water.

Zieg
Rolls down the river further

Mingo
Misty steps to the other side of the river and climbs up moves down towards Zieg. Mingo creates a lasso out of a rope and slings it around Zieg and tries to angle him towards the side.

Big dude
Attempts to attack where he thinks Tossy is. And misses the first attack and to Ryans dismay with the second one. He is confused and doesn’t realize Tossy is there.

Other dude
Runs over to the edge and crackles an electro shot over at Mingo and paralyzes him. Mingo falls down on the rope stopping him for now from flowing down river.

Tossy
Tosses a fireball and it blows up causing the spider to real in pain and the big dude is unaffected

Violi
Fails his save by one point but sees an image of boobs which makes him save and is un-stunned.

Turn 2

Barr
Attempts to grapple with the metal panther and usefully pins him by the neck and attacks him twice with his trident, hitting both times adding a fire strike and makes him have disadvantage on attack rolls. Then punches him, but the metal creature is definitely immune to nonmagical physical attack

Metal Panther
Attempts to break his grapple but fails. HE THEN ATTEMPTS TO BITE AND CLAW Barr but misses both

Zieg
Is still stunned

Mingo
Still stunned gets jutted along and maintains 64% of his body wieght on the rope

Big dude
See the invisible person that he though wasn’t there and swings his weapon down hitting twice on Tossy dealing some decent damage

Other dude
Is going to run over and attack Barr hitting him for some damage and then says fuck it and launches a force beam at both his buddy and Barr hitting both

Tossy
Casts mental prison on the bronze golem. As he attempts to twist the mind of the golem he flashes back and sees snow coming down he flashes back still seeing white globs coming down and see wings spread out. He flashes back from the vision and sees a clockworks thing in his head and begins to manipulate his spell to deal damage to his “mind”

Violi
Uses dispel magic to end the stun on his friends and swims over to the edge.

Turn 3

Barr
Misses a bunch of stuff and then punches him adding a another strike blinding the panther

Metal Panther
Bites and claws Barr, but again fails to break the grapple

Zieg
Is going to misty step 30 ft closer to Mingo and then walk rights up to Mingo and cops a feel up his breast plate and finds his magic carrot… seems to be a petite carrot. Healing him of his penalization.

Mingo
Moves up stream along the edge. He then prepares to purposely jump in to get to the other side.

Big Dude
Swings at Tossy

Spider dude
Wraps his arms around the golem and disappears

Tossy
Tosses a firebolt at the sex kitten,

Violi
Attempts twice to climb out of the water and falls back in both times

Turn 4
Barr
Attacks 3 times hitting with 2 of them.

Metal Panther
Attempts to break grapple and finally succeeds releasing a screech and Barr growls at him… He locks eyes with Barr as hes shook by the metal panthers roar and dips out.

Violi hears a voice in his head that says huh those look like Memnarch lackeys. Barr goes to help Violi out of the water and Tossy misty steps behind him and pushes Barr in. Barr grabs Tossy as he falls and they all fall in the water. Barr boosts Tossy and Violi out of the water. Mingo and Zieg swim over to the other side.

East of Tryton

It is oddly warm, about 75 degrees. Barr and Zieg feel the ground to see if there is any warmth. Barr determines there is in fact grass and Zieg feels that’s there is some warmth coming from the ground. The group walks to the bottom of the hill and it is no longer warm, so the group walks back circling looking for a cave entrance and doesn’t find one. They decide to Eldritch blast and Mold earth at the base and do this for an hour eventually reaching a spot where there is a warm smooth rock. Zieg attempts to make it see through but just does the surface revealing more rock. Barr touches it and it feels moderately warm. He licks it and puts his ear to it and hears vibrations. Barr stabs it with the ass of his Trident. The group clears out the hole and Violi casts create bonfire in the hole and then further intensifies it along with Barr and Tossy. They wait a minute and Tossy fires an additional fireball into the hole. Violi jumps into the fire casting investiture of flame and continues to feed the flame beginning to heat it to the point of molding it. He continues to heat it and it begins to crack.

Dragon Lair

Violi falls into a cavern containing an ancient red dragon. Mingo drops a devil beat down on Violi and begins to hot box the cavern. Tossy and Barr begin to negotiate with the ancient dragon for Violi’s release. Tossy casts feather fall on Barr and he jumps down. Mingo jumps on his back as he falls. Tossy jumps down as well with Zieg. Barr taps Tossy in the shin with his trident for fucking with him. Barr attempts to turn invisible and the dragon blasts fire at him. The Ancient red dragon agrees to let them free if they get an Ashen Crown from a Lich’s lair. He tells the story of how a Lich stole it from his horde while he was distracted long ago. Should they complete the task they will get 3,000 gold from his horde. Barr is high from the devil beat and asks if there are any snacks around. Mingo is also high and the dragon continues to explain the Lich’s weakness is destroying the phylactery. The problem will be that the Lich is probably wearing the crown. Barr says ya Liches be Liches dude as he continues to munch on the boar. The Dragon rises up and looks down on Barr and says that the Crown gives him control of the dead. He commands them to go forth and collect it. Mingo is petting his Fae moss while this all goes on. Barr once again asks what you do down here all the time, The dragon says he kills adventures that fall in. Barr asks if he would want to hang out ever and the dragon tells him to put down the boar’s leg. Barr asks if they complete the task can they have a vial of the dragon’s blood and he agrees. The Lich last resided close, in a nearby city. One of the closest 3 cities. Barr then asks why he doesn’t come with them since he so formidable. The dragon begins to get a bit testy telling them to stand in a line. The dragon pulls a tonsil stone out slams it to the ground creating a flame. Tossy sees this and asks the dragon to look in his mouth for a tonsil stone. The dragon picks him up and claws at his chest pulling out a piece of his soul and puts it in the flame. Barr tells him he’s one of the coolest, but weirdest people we’ve ever met. The dragon puts a claw to his forehead and mumbles something to himself. He tell Barr to leave and directs him to what appears to be a long cavern. The dragon snaps his claws and Barr teleports directly in front of him. The dragon tells them if they fuck around he will summon them back and they will live forever in his servitude. Tossy tells the dragon he needs to relax and asks what happens if they put on the crown. He tells them whatever he does don’t put on the crown. Barr asks how will he know when they have retrieved the crown. He gives him a burning sending stone. He tells them to ONLY use that to communicate when they have the crown. Barr then proceeds to test the sending stone, “This Is Papa bear do you come in Red Rocket”. Barr then comes to a realization asking where did Violi go? The dragon tells them he almost immediately teleported away. The dragon then sends them back up through the hole from which they came.

Strix

Zieg takes the lead on the trip to Strix. The group approaches Strix and there is a wall around the city with a gate. There is a weird emblem on the door that they do not recognize a and a blue flame at the gate house. There are two watchers at the gatehouse asking them to state their business. Barr asks if there is food in there and they say no. Zieg tries to explain to the guards that his friends are tired and asks if there is a place they can stay. The guards go over and grab some chains. Zieg notices it looks like they are grabbing the chain but their hands are actually going through the chain. The gates open and they see a city and it has all the mundane workings of a city, but many people appear lethargic and going through the motions. Mingo uses divine sense and can tell everyone around him are undead. Zieg tries to tell the group Violi is playing hide and seek since they are all high as fuck. Barr tries to play it cool and falls on his face and yells out and everyone turns to look. He sees a building that says “Inn”.

Inn

They head over and there are some patrons sitting there staring into the abyss. The barkeep asks if there’s anything they can help here. Barr asks “what exactly is it that you do here”. The Barkeep says he used to be an adventurer like yourself, but I don’t know what happened. He comes around the corner with an arrow in his knee. He gives them all a round of drinks for 5 silver. The drink is called bog water. Barr asks him if there are any happy people here or any bottles. He says nope there is all homebrew. Mingo takes some of the fermented ooze and casts detect thoughts. Mingo cannot sense any thoughts coming from him absolutely blowing his mind. Zieg asks if they have a mayor. He says yes it is run by Sedah. Zieg then asks if he wears a crown to which he says yes don’t all mayors. Mingo telepathically tells himself and then to Barr, don’t drink it. And asks the bar keeper what exactly it is you do here. The bar keep tells Barr it will help you snap out of whatever you are under. Mingo slaps the drink out of Barrs hand. Mingo thinks to Barr “Kakaw” Barr freaks out. Brr asks where’s Violi and Mingo tells him he ate him. Zieg says they’ll take that room now. Tossy tells Barr Violi is upstairs and up they go. Zieg puts the three to bed putting Tossy in the middle. The group has a bedside conversation about Liches and Barr recalls some details about a Lich. While Tossy sleeps he wakes up and says dead people Liches and goes back to sleep. When Mingo wakes up his beard is very dwarvish. Mingo and Tossy wake up and shake off their high and sees Mingo’s beard and questions whether they are still high.

Zieg Scouting

Zieg goes out and about to scout the town while the others nap. He finds the mayoral estate and it appears to be the most lively of the town. There are 3 guards stationed at the door. They are wearing plate armor and each of their plates has the head of a dog on it. Zieg tries to be covert and tries to get an idea of the what’s holding down the fort. The 3 guards appear to be undead, but slightly different the rest of the people they’ve met so far. There is only one entrance to the estate and its where the guards are standing. He returns to the inn and waits for the rest of his friends to wake up.
