Bramble

Arrives with Jaden and Quinn in disguise.

Rikavon and Gerem land with their skeletons, as well as Korv.

The party the arrives within half and hour of each other. Kito and Bramble hug. A group hug, plus Gerem, ensues.

We level up!

We arrive at Gyridus KY, to a packed Spaceport. Tents and lodging has been set-up in the trees around the spaceport. It seems like half of the Expanse has arrived for the golemancy. Parking costs a silver per ship per day, payable on departure (just like last time.) The suns are dipping below the horizon. Tomorrow marks the day of destruction of the old school (so we’re waking up early for services.)

Kito Tanith and Rikavon Horvaltyne talk about the Hopvine Inn and that there’s a lot of rich people there who might be interested in buying skeletons and Gerem goes there with 8 skeletons. Kito subtlly casts Locate Object, finding the gate shard on [Rikavon](characters/113571

Bramble, with Jaden and Quinn, and they head off to explore the city.

Korv goes to reconnect with his friends.Rikavon and Kito head towards Marlxn.

Jacques also heads towards Marlxn, but wants to check in with Aunt Marcel about his vision and near death experience.

Kito, Rikavon, Jacques and Ylossia meet back on Marlxn. Rikavon explains that she went to the The Pale Citadel to gather support to fight her mother. Ylossia: “All they could give you was 12 skeletons?” Rikavon: “Yea, I’m a little irked about that too….” We all commit to killing the Witch of the Wanderer and hands back the gate shard to Ylossia. Looking through the gate, Ylossia sees a message written on a sign hanging in front of the gate, written in archaic sheffan:

“We understand that you are able to send items and creatures through this portal. We cannot send anything in your direction. We seek productive dialogue and peaceful communication. We continue to work towards safety and prosperity for all Sheffans. We have the resources to provide you with these outcomes if you are willing and able to cooperate.”

Cut to Bramble, with Jaden and Quinn, are walking through the town, with the New Sheffans doing a bad job at fitting in. Bramble looks for a clothing shop to help them fit in better, they want to go to the Lated Ale. Bramble relents and goes with them. There are some locals in the bar, as well as 2 parties of offworlders. Group 1 is a captain and 5 archers. All wearing masks of inscreptions with green ink (The Dragon Guard of Sud from Brivca. Another group of 2 from Devorats who are holding court with some locals. Jaden and Quinn made a beeline for the Devorats’ workers.

Rikavon, dresses the skeletons elegantly with little jabots and tophats Jacques and Ylossia travel out to the wastelands with the intent of sending a note through the Portal Shard.

Bramble learns that Brivca got raided and repelled an attack by the Chalcedon Empire. The only way they won was because the crews were so void stricken. The Devorats workers, Lanka and XXXXXX seem amenable to the idea that the Goldenbrew family has too much power. Quinn discloses that they’re from somewhere outside The Expanse. The bar falls into silence

Ylossia goes looking for the Bekerel Circle. A whale rider, Eclipse, points Ylossia towards yeast shop, where they’re talking shop with the owner

Rikavon, Jacques and Kito head towards the Abby. Walking through the Merchant’s Plaza. Jacques is focused on the conversation with his aunt, then takes 30 psychic damage. We also run intoJames Knox. Kito subtle casts detect thoughts to read the crowd to see where the damage came from “The Shepard will be pleased”. Kito points this out to Jacques and lets out. Battle ensues! The vampire tries to run away, but a carefully timed counterspell hampers those plans. Jacques’ keen eyes track the vampire as they try to hide in the shadows. Rikavon and Kito continue the assault (Kito accidentally turns all the weapons around him to food for a minute in the process.) The vampire goes down, and Rikavon’s skelletons begin handing out business cards. We prep to take the knocked out vampire to the Abby as Ylossia walks into the square.

Bramble, back at the bar, verifying the story of Jaden and Quinn, though halfheartedly. Bramble is recognized by the Dragon Guard, and brings up the idea of leaving the Expanse. The Guards don’t seem keen on this idea.

The Saga continues

Jacques, Ylossia,Kito and Rikavon enter the Archives. Marcel Goldenbrew is there with other family members. She looks as though she hasn’t slept in days, and eyes Jacques with distrust She asks why Jacques has returned, defaming the brewery with another undead body. The vampire is placed in a side room and Jacques andMarcel take a walk. Jacques talks about having the vision after “traveling to the other side.” Jacques recounts the vision he had, and the powers he now has. She walks over to the vat of holy beer and takes a drink.

Marcel says that the rest of the family had a dream of a coronation ceremony in the Abby attended by all the holy orders of the expanse, uniting the people under one monarch. She says that Jacques accepted a bargain on behalf of the whole family. Jacques tries to persuade Marcel that the Goldenbrew family can do more to support the Expanse. Marcel says that the family supports the Expanse, but in a way that promotes independence and self determination. Jacques plays the parents card, asking if they had to die due to poor leadership. The conversation continues and Marcel calls out 3 problems with this plan:

1. It takes away from the fight against the witch
2. It makes us look like Bluestone sympathizers
3. It sounds reformed school, ideal of a unified military, not new school

The conversation continues, Marcel concedes that the division between the The New School of Teoma and The Reformed School of Teoma may be deeper than it needs to be, but that this is not the time to bridge this divide. Jacques then retorts “Then we’re cowards.”Marcel recounts a tale where she and Jacque’s mother went to a planet where Bluestone and Chalcedon were fighting and had destroyed a lake that the population relied on. The two braved the battle to save the population by restoring the lake. Marcel ends the conversation and begins walking back towards the archives.

We’re told to fetch Rikavon and return to Marlxn

Ylossia,Kito and Rikavon

Ylossia,Kito and Rikavon are back in the archives. Patritzia Horvaltyne greets Rikavon, and the two catch up on the events that transpired. Kito, having cast detect thoughts, reads the room as the two talk about artifacts. is interested in hearing more about the artifacts.

Once Jacques, Marcel return Kito reads their thoughts. Jacques is frustrated that Marcel didn’t see things his way. He also questions his resolve. Marcel thinks”We might need to do something about this one.”

Rikavon and Patritzia head down a side passage to continue their discussion about the artifact. She asks to come back to the ship to see them, which Rikavon declines, saying that it’s better to keep their location secret. Rikavon asks about Patritzia about her time with Kel Brightmoon. Patrizia indicates that the void may be created by The Twins to keep outsiders at bay, and that the Sheffans. “Why else would the void get louder as these incursions have been happening.” Patritzia talks about how the void saved Brivca by weakening the Chalcedonian incursion force, allowing the dragon to destroy them.

The rest of the party approaches and Patritzia inquires about returning toMarlxn with the rest of the party. We say that she should probably stay at the Abby, and then part ways.

#Bramble
Cut to Bramble, arriving at the Hopvine Inn. Lyla is performing. Bramble buys her a drink after her set and she mentions that the war priests have been planning at the Inn, and that they may rejoin Bluestone if things don’t go well. Bramble tells Lyla where Marlxn is parked in case she needs it. The continue talking for a minute before Bramble continues on towards the abby

The Party Reunites!

Bramble gives us all a hug and we walk back to the ships, catching him up on the events since we were separated. We head back to the spaceport. Gerem lets us know that she’s arrange lodging. Apporching Pilgrim’s Plaza, we hear yelling. It’s Quinn. Bramble takes off ahead of the group and finds the New Sheffans squaring off with two fromThe New School of Teoma. One wears armor with caldrons that look like a snake around their shoulders and looks to be from Crotalus. The New Sheffans are preaching that the gods aren’t necessary. Rikavon takes off after Bramble. ,Kito turns himself and Ylossia invisible then dashes after Bramble.

Bramble gets the attention of the crowd by playing a power cord, saying that the Partners of Revelry have returned, and promises a big announcement after the golmancy ritual. The The Reformed School of Teoma priests continue to preach unity under the Twins. Bramble counters: “These people saved my life from the witch who brings the void upon us.” Quinn agrees, and messages to Bramble if they should misty step away, but Bramble cautions against this.

The hunter casts spiritual weapon, demanding that that Jaden and Quinn declare themselves for theThe Twins. The Dragonrider arches stand behind them, obviously in support. Jacques walks up, says “Alright, alright, you all win.” holding up a mug. Jacques says that he dared the New Sheffans to commit blasphemy as a joke. No one is laughing….

The Twillinger Voyna echos the demand that Jaden and Quinn make a profession of fate. Jaden attempts to make a profession of faith, but fails and uses shadow step to move towards their ship.

Rikavon Horvaltyne tries to talk down the mob, appealing to the solemnity of the occasion, however the mob continues to chase after Jaden. One of the Devorats workers casts calm emotion on the crowd around Quinn, calming most of the folks there. Bramble tells the Twillinger Voyna that Jaden and Quinn could be powerful allies, and that they have advanced technology that would be helpful. Quinn confirms this and the The Reformed School of Teoma priests relax even more. Jacques is able to calm the emotions of the other two mobs. Twillinger Voyna instructs Jacques to bring the party, along with Jaden and Quinn to the Hopvine Inn after services tomorrow.

Night Time Debrief

Tonight the party is sleeping in the Occulus. Ylossia is sleeping on the bridge. Rikavon, Bramble and Kito are together, Jaden and Quinn are in the ship builder tender, and Jacques and Ylossia are on Marlxn. The party while all united debriefs on what has happened so far while we were separated from Bramble.

The party talks about how the talk with Marcel went. Kito casts Detect Thoughts on Jacques while Bramble asks about how the talk went with his aunt. Jacques tells Brams that “His aunt wants to stick to tradition” and “He hopes his friends realize his intentions are good”. Kito hears “He’s worried that his aunt wasn’t on board and that she’s disappointed” and “He’s worried that his friends don’t trust him”.

Ylossia has a dream. Kai with a magenta mohawk is before her, the most sexy New Sheffan person ever but not a MILF. They have a conversation.

A serpent appears behind Ylossia. Floods her mind that there is something evil through the gate that needs to be destroyed. And also that Enier and Isabell need to finish their Great Hunt. Ylossia relays this information to Brams and Kito Tanith.
