Vaati, The Dark Seeker

Once a mortal minish and Wind Sorcerer’s apprentice, Vaati was fascinated with power and knowledge. Betraying his master, stealing a powerful mage artifact, he sought to collect all powerful items and magic across the lands. Upon grasping towards powers of goddesses, through their vessel Zelda, he attained great sorcerous power and, ultimately, divinity. This divine existance was short lived, as the Hero rose to oppose him and together with magic of Triforce, sealed Vaati away to other plane. In that darkness, Vaati can do nothing but watch, as the world he held in his grasp moves on without him.
All he has in that darkness, is the secrets of magic he claimed. Slowly through ages, he spied the world from beyond to the material plane, still seeking more knowledge, more secrets. Some swear they can hear whispers in shadows, and feel hundreds of eyes watching them.

Those who listens the Demon Sorcerer enthusiastically, do so for selfish reasons, desiring the great magical powers. Vaati will borrow this for his faithful, but only as long as they do his bidding. He doesn’t mind lending his magnificent power.

After all, he will always take back what was once his.
